Staff FullStack AI Engineer - Remote (EMEA)

Staff Level (IC5) experience architecting and operating complex, user-facing applications in production. Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js. Strong understanding of system architecture and API design. Familiarity with GraphQL and GraphQL Federation is a strong plus. Experience building developer tools, platforms, or products for highly technical users. Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction and resolve ambiguous challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Self-starter with a leader’s mindset.

Define and drive the architecture of AI-powered experiences. Design and ship LLM Agents and Agent Workflows. Shape frameworks, practices, and systems for AI scalability and security. Own technical direction of major AI initiatives. Influence architectural decisions from backend APIs to frontend integration. Ensure AI systems are reliable, enterprise-ready, and deliver exceptional user experience. Architect and operate the WunderGraph AI Stack using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js. Design and implement backend APIs and services that power AI workflows. Evaluate and guide adoption of LLM frameworks and agent architectures. Define patterns and best practices for scalable AI integrations. Embed security and compliance into system design. Anticipate scaling challenges and design for resilience and performance. Establish monitoring, observability, and CI/CD standards for AI features. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers. Conduct code and design reviews. Document architectural decisions and contribute to knowledge-sharing. Represent WunderGraph in the AI/engineering community. Help hire and build an exceptional engineering team.
