Senior Backend Engineer - Platform

5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience 3+ years of Go in production environments 3+ years Kubernetes operations (building, debugging, scaling clusters) Experience in distributed systems and microservice architectures Expertise in distributed systems and microservice design Experience with gRPC & Protobufs Experience developing Kubernetes operators/controllers with client-go or controller-runtime Solid understanding of PostgreSQL (admin, replication, query tuning, migrations) Strong focus on testing, code quality, and best practices (>80% coverage, linting, peer reviews)

Develop back-end features for Tiger Cloud in a distributed microservice architecture. Design and build Kubernetes controllers, operators, and CRDs. Improve deployment reliability, error handling, and developer tooling. Build scalable, resilient microservices with strong observability. Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems and service orchestration. Collaborate with infrastructure engineers on platform scalability and reliability.
