Clinical Admissions Therapist (Alaska)

Experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adults preferred. Experience completing behavioral health assessments and admissions preferred. Independent licensure in a mental health field required. Associate-level clinicians working toward full licensure are considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Access to reliable technology for telehealth services.

Develop rapport with clients and referral sources through personable communication. Present programming information to assist clients in accessing care. Complete virtual biopsychosocial assessments for various age groups and mental health concerns. Determine client appropriateness for virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP). Construct provisional mental health diagnoses using DSM-V criteria. Document client information using electronic medical records. Assign treatment team members and group schedules. Interface with Admissions, Verification of Benefits, Utilization Review, and Clinical teams. Collaborate with referral sources like hospitals, treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health providers.
