Senior Clinical Informaticist

Clinical degree (MD, DO, PA, NP, or RN) with at least 2 years of clinical experience. Experience with standard clinical vocabularies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS). Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation practices. Strong understanding of data in structured EHRs, unstructured EHRs, and claims datasets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced training or certification in clinical informatics (preferred). Minimum 2-3 years of experience in clinical informatics (preferred). Expertise in semantic mapping of clinical terms to standard vocabularies (preferred). Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex clinical data challenges (preferred). Experience defining and reviewing data quality tests (preferred). Experience with OMOP Common Data Model (preferred). Proficiency with terminology mapping tools (preferred). Familiarity with AI-based extraction from unstructured clinical notes (preferred). Strong understanding of hierarchical structure in clinical terminologies (preferred). Proficiency in data analysis or transformation tools (SQL, Excel, Python, R) (preferred). Prior involvement in phenotyping or computable cohort definitions (preferred). Ability to collaborate with technical teams on scalable approaches (preferred). AI-first mindset for scalable solutions (preferred).

Create and maintain concept groups. Review customer code lists and recommend updates. List and define critical variables for pragmatic registries. Map claims and health system data to OMOP CDM standard concepts. Semantically normalize CDM-converted data and map unmapped concepts. Create documentation on data usability for insights. Collaborate with customers on data leverage for research. Define disease-area-specific data quality testing processes. Determine concept capture methods for research questions. Specify annotation projects for complex clinical ideas.
