10+ years of experience producing video for online platforms, including highlights and social video. Track record of launching and sustaining successful video templates. Expert knowledge of video formats and distribution channels, with an eye on industry trends. Deep understanding of online video algorithms and ability to achieve audience growth across platforms. Extensive programming experience and knowledge of video platform best practices. Master of video analytics with ability to explain performance. Deep understanding of sports and how topics are discussed by fans. Strong understanding of sports journalism and high editorial standards. Experience working on commercial projects. Excellent leadership skills and enjoys facilitating colleague development. Self-starter with great time management skills. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Ability to make difficult decisions for business benefit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Build and launch highlights properties with unique formats. Work closely with Series and Specials team leadership. Scale the video team for a video-forward newsroom. Manage video groups in Creative Development. Partner with leadership to set and manage team goals. Collaborate with the newsroom to create video formats that highlight journalism. Work with the commercial team to create formats for audience growth and revenue. Partner with vertical leads to align with editorial strategy. Serve as the connective tissue between video production and other departments. Develop relationships with leaders throughout the company. Provide input into production team organization for growth targets within budget.
