Cybersecurity Engineer

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Relevant industry certifications (CEH, Pentest+, CySA+, SSCP, OSCP, or equivalent). 5 or more years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related role. Proficiency in security tools (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus). Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security best practices. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs). Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans. Monitor logs for suspicious activities and security incidents. Develop and execute incident response plans. Investigate security breaches and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST CSF). Assist in developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies. Conduct security awareness training. Evaluate and implement cybersecurity tools. Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend proactive measures. Collaborate with external auditors for security audits and assessments. Work on remediation plans for identified weaknesses. Integrate security into development and deployment processes. Communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies to stakeholders.
