Requirements:
Qualified lawyer with ideally 6-10(+) years of experience in employment law, preferably from corporates/financial institutions or law firms. Strong knowledge of employment law within APAC region. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice to non-legal stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build effective relationships with clients and colleagues. Track record of working cross-functionally to achieve company goals while showcasing prioritization skills.
Responsibilities:
Providing legal support to global HR functions and advising on employment related legal matters Provide subject matter legal advice on employment law matters across APAC, including but not limited to, employee relations, workplace policies, terminations, and compliance with labor laws. Take a lead role in managing external counsels Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents. Conduct legal research and stay up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations. Develop and deliver training programs on employment law topics for HR teams and management. Provide support to senior management and participate in strategic planning for improvement Assist in the resolution of employment disputes, including handling grievances, mediations, and representing the company in employment-related litigation. Collaborate with HR and management to develop and implement effective workplace policies and procedures. Provide guidance on best practices for employee performance management, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations. Support the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives by ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity laws.
