Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing engineering team, promoting professional growth, skill development, and a culture of best practices in software development. Champion agile methodologies, ensuring efficient delivery processes and continuous improvement in software development cycles. Define and enforce best practices for software development, including coding standards, testing protocols, implementation guidelines, and documentation. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Integrations, and Customer Success, to identify and address engineering requirements for our clients. This role will maintain clear reporting to the rest of the organization on the status of given projects, expected completion dates, and tradeoffs of different design options or project priorities as new requests are generated. Oversee testing and validation processes to guarantee that software products are reliable, scalable, and maintainable. Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor software performance and user satisfaction, providing insights for product enhancements. Serve as a key point of contact for executive leadership and stakeholders regarding engineering initiatives, providing regular updates and cultivating strong relationships. Continuously evaluate emerging software technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact on Pico MES’s offerings and overall strategy.
