Requirements:
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Experience in customer service, healthcare intake, or administrative support (preferred)
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to follow structured processes
- Comfortable working in a phone-heavy role (inbound & outbound calls)
- Proficient with software tools and data entry for patient record management
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls from referral sources, leads, and potential patients
- Collect and input patient details into a state-approved system to determine Medicaid eligibility
- Clearly explain Medicaid programs and assist patients with authorization
- Contact potential patients from hospital referral lists to educate them on home care services
- Assist with patient onboarding and guide them through the qualification process
- Use state-mandated software to track patient clock-ins and clock-outs for compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Provide English/Spanish support to ensure clear communication with a diverse patient population
- Deliver high levels of professionalism, empathy, and clarity in all interactions
