Senior Engineer, External Loads

5-7+ years in specific technical discipline Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent field FAR Part 23 and Part 25 Certification experience Transonic aircraft aerodynamics and static aeroelasticity experience Experience and demonstrated proficiency in Unix/Linux, C/C++, Matlab, VBA, 3DX, Femap, Nastran and Python.

Develop airframe design loads based on design criteria in accordance with Part 23 certification requirements. Develop balanced, whole aircraft load distributions for static maneuvers and gust. Develop component loads for control surfaces, doors, windows, fairings and engine interfaces. Perform design loads analysis using commercial and in-house tools and processes. Develop mass properties and aerodynamic databases required to support loads analyses. Develop flex to rigid control power ratios for primary flight controls. Provide subject matter expertise in loads, analysis, trade studies and planning. Support planning, execution, and data reduction of experimental testing activities. Participate in aircraft development activities and coordination amongst various design teams. Develop loads certification documents.
