Venture Science Doctorate: venture-creation PhD program (funded scholarship)

Impact-driven candidates with experience in solving large-scale societal problems. Desire to build a company using advanced research and technology. Demonstrated curiosity with examples of past learning experiences. Undergraduate degree related to science, innovation, or design-thinking, or relevant professional research experience. Willingness to spend one week on the application to solve a societal problem using specified methodology.

Year 1: Familiarize with an industry, map opportunities, identify optimal solutions, perform lab work, and collaborate with partner research groups. Year 2: Focus on invention, develop initial hypotheses, work with research groups to prove technology, and validate through technoeconomic analysis. Year 3: Venture creation, build scalable technology, engage with investors, and develop investment cases while leading a new venture.
