- Represent employers and insurers in all aspects of workers' compensation defense before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB), including hearings, conferences, and trials.
- Manage a full caseload and drive claims toward efficient, favorable outcomes.
- Take and defend depositions, including medical depositions when applicable.
- Draft and argue motions and prepare legal filings under California workers' compensation law.
- Negotiate settlements and resolve claims strategically.
- Conduct legal research related to workers' compensation statutes and case law.
- Maintain regular communication with adjusters and clients regarding case strategy and status.
