About Neara
Imagine preventing wildfires before they start or ensuring power grids stay resilient during extreme weather. That's the real-world impact you will create every day at Neara. We build 3D physics-enabled digital twins of critical infrastructure networks. Our software helps utilities and infrastructure companies run scenarios, assess risks, and make smarter decisions affecting millions of lives. Neara is not just another tech company; we are recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2024. Our platform helps customers identify and reduce risks 9x faster across a combined territory of over 1 million square miles and 7.9 million assets, spanning from Southern California to Ireland to Australia.
How We Work
You will join a team that is passionate, brilliant, and genuinely excited about solving problems that matter. Neara fosters a culture where everyone owns our mission, innovation thrives, and great work gets recognized. The company has grown from 51-100 to 146 employees and secured over $60 million in funding over 5 rounds since its founding in 2016.
Engineering at Neara
Neara's platform uses predictive algorithms and artificial intelligence to create three-dimensional, physics-enabled models. This allows for simulating various scenarios, such as storms or wildfires, and understanding their impact on networks for visualization and reporting. Our technology combines whole-network analysis, large-scale geospatial analysis, and detailed physical simulation on a per-asset, per-component basis. This provides unprecedented visibility into the poorly understood upstream and downstream implications across field operations. Neara's AI and machine learning products enable large-scale network modeling and risk assessment without manual surveys, which can be inefficient and inaccurate. Our cloud-based interface allows you to configure models, vary tolerances and risks, and scale analysis across the entire network.
