- Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technologies or closely related field.
- Two plus (2+) years of Field Service Engineer experience in the medical field or closely related field.
- Competency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; robotics and fluidics experience is a plus.
- Preferred specialized equipment repair training or certifications (BMET, CBET).
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of reading comprehension for interpreting instructions.
- Advanced computer skills for reporting and interacting with equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel 80%-90% of the time.
- Installation, calibration, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance (PM) service of Biocare Medical and contracted competitive instruments.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Serve as the on-site client point-of-contact for instrument service issues.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, QA/QC, and R&D as needed.
- Participate in local, regional, and national histology/immunohistochemistry functions.
- Travel both domestically and internationally to minimize instrument down time.
- Work on complex assignments ensuring timely and successful repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
