- Oversee daily accounting operations and deliverables for a portfolio of nonprofit and/or government contractor clients.
- Ensure timely monthly closes, financial reporting, and compliance with grant and contract requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for ongoing client communications and present financial results and insights to client leadership.
- Coordinate client onboarding by establishing workflows, timelines, and expectations.
- Plan, schedule, and staff engagements; delegate work and support staff development.
- Monitor engagement budgets, time budgets, and resource utilization, and assist with billing.
- Review internal controls, staff work programs, financial statements, and supporting schedules for compliance with GAAP, regulations, and firm standards.
- Coach and supervise Staff and Senior Accountants, mentor Supervisors as needed, and participate in the department coaching program.
- Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and advisory insights; contribute to practice and proposal development.
- Keep partners and leadership informed of significant developments, analyze issues, and recommend solutions.
