About The AI Education Project

The AI Education Project (aiEDU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to closing the opportunity gap in AI education. You will contribute to equipping students, especially those disproportionately impacted by AI and automation, with the conceptual knowledge and skills they need for an AI-powered future. aiEDU provides high-quality curriculum, professional development, and strategic partnerships to integrate AI literacy into education systems nationwide. The organization launched with pilots in Ohio and Florida, and has scaled to reach over 20,000 students across multiple states. They offer a 10-week project-based learning course called "Intro to AI" for high school students, "AI Snapshots" with over 180 classroom warm-ups, a "Project Dashboard" for independent and teacher-led projects, and "Flex Plans" for busy educators. aiEDU also provides professional development for educators and AI Toolkits to support communities in promoting AI education.

How We Work

You will join a fully distributed team working remotely across the United States. aiEDU maintains core working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm Pacific, but otherwise, staff generally set their own schedules. The organization prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing it as fundamental to their culture and strategic imperative. They welcome individuals from all backgrounds and experiences, fostering a supportive environment where you can do your best work. To foster connection and collaboration, the team convenes quarterly for in-person retreats in various locations.
