Job Details

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Five or more years of software development experience.
Experience developing applications with Java and related technology ecosystems.
Experience with Java Web Services, Spring Boot, or Java EE.
Familiarity with software development and DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Maven.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Experience supporting application development, deployment, and maintenance.
Ability to contribute to system design and translate requirements into working software solutions.
Professional fluency in English, including written and verbal communication.
U.S. citizenship is required; DHS HQ Entry on Duty approval is required before starting, and the selected candidate must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability.

Develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications using Java and related technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance during conceptualization, development, and implementation.
Work with users and stakeholders to define system scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
Contribute to application architecture, system design, and technical design decisions.
Support new development, system reengineering, and application enhancements.
Perform quality assurance, testing, and test-driven development activities.
Review system modifications for compatibility across applications and environments.
Perform database programming and support system design activities.
Use Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Jira to support DevOps, Agile delivery, and configuration management.
Support automated code scanning, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment in a cloud-based development environment.
