Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- Have 5+ years of experience programming in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- Have 3+ years of experience leading engineering projects and initiatives, including design, development, and implementation of distributed systems.
- Have experience ensuring reliable service delivery and prioritizing technical improvements with cross-functional teams and/or driving technical vision.
- Demonstrate professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: Have 5+ years of experience developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services.
- Preferred: Have experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Preferred: Have 3 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: Demonstrate professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.
Responsibilities
- Maintain robust, scalable technical foundations and service excellence using technologies such as Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, AWS, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- Guide the team through complex product and technical roadmaps.
- Improve the processes, systems, and tools used to deliver products and champion technical initiatives and direction.
- Build processes to identify and address technical issues or escalate larger initiatives for prioritization.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, documentation, and workshops.
- Lead technical design planning and facilitate peer review for new feature ideas.
- Design, create, and maintain access platform solutions that operate at internet scale.
- Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks, plan improvements, and release changes to production.
