- Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication; professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication is preferred.
- Experience
- 7+ years experience developing and supporting software in a production environment; 5+ years experience programming in an object oriented language; 3+ years experience leading engineering projects and initiatives. Preferred: 5+ years developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services; 3 years working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- Have 5+ years of experience programming in an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, or C++.
- Have 3+ years of experience leading engineering projects and initiatives.
- Have experience designing, developing, and implementing distributed systems and delivering reliable services.
- Have experience prioritizing technical improvements with cross-functional teams and/or driving technical vision.
- Have professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience developing and supporting scalable, distributed backend services.
- Preferred: experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or GCP.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.
Responsibilities
- Maintain service excellence and robust, scalable technical foundations using technologies such as Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, AWS, OpenSearch, and Redis.
- Guide the team through complex product and technical roadmaps.
- Improve the processes, systems, and tools used to deliver products and champion technical initiatives.
- Build processes to identify and address technical issues, escalating larger initiatives for prioritization when needed.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, documentation, and workshops.
- Design, create, and maintain access platform solutions that operate at internet scale.
- Enhance monitoring and alerting, and identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
- Lead technical design planning and facilitate peer review for new feature ideas.
