Requirements
- Have 0 to 3 years of experience in account management, as an account executive, or in customer success in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
- Be comfortable discussing renewals, pricing, and commercial terms with partners and asking for expansions when appropriate.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally on calls, over email, and in shared Slack channels with partners.
- Stay organized while managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Show curiosity about payments, including card issuing, authorization, and settlement, and about stablecoins.
- Be willing to learn technical topics, including reading API documentation.
- Take ownership of partner issues through resolution, including coordinating across teams.
- Be comfortable working at a fast-growing company.
- Bonus: Have exposure to card issuing, embedded finance, crypto, or stablecoins.
- Bonus: Have experience working toward a renewal, upsell, or expansion target.
Responsibilities
- Own renewals for live partners from the first conversation through signed paperwork.
- Find and close expansion opportunities, including new products, additional card programs, and new regions.
- Grow net revenue retention for the coverage area and flag churn or contraction risk early.
- Handle partner escalations involving partnerships, program configuration, commercial terms, and products; coordinate with Product, Engineering, Finance, or Compliance as needed.
- Keep account health records and notes up to date.
- Build account health snapshots and use them to prioritize time.
- Pass partner feedback to Product to help shape the roadmap.
- Help write and improve Account Management and product expansion playbooks.
- Learn Rain's products, including stablecoin card issuing, card network basics, and APIs.
