Requirements
- Have 8+ years of professional software experience.
- Bring deep knowledge of at least one of Rust, C++, or Go; Rust is preferred.
- Have experience building high-throughput, low-latency systems in a distributed environment.
- Have experience with high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.
- Work closely with product managers, sales, and support to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Demonstrate day-to-day use of AI coding tools, including the ability to critique, validate, and refine AI-generated output.
- Experience with Python is a plus for Processing Engine plugins.
- Experience with WebAssembly is a plus.
- Knowledge of consensus protocols and distributed databases is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for InfluxDB 3, including Import/Export, Data Transformation Pipelines, and WebUI integration.
- Debug and fix production issues, including performance bottlenecks and memory leaks.
- Work with the platform team to improve InfluxDB 3 monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Participate in the production on-call rotation, triaging and debugging issues.
