Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
- Be proficient in Go (Golang) or ready to ramp up quickly.
- Have experience designing, implementing, and evolving public APIs consumed internally and externally.
- Understand API versioning, backwards compatibility, authentication, and usability through real-world experience.
- Be familiar with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Understand containers and Kubernetes.
- Know how to build services that are observable and resilient in production.
- Be able to collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and engineers across multiple product lines.
- Be comfortable working self-directed in a remote, startup environment with ambiguity and a fast pace.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve customer-facing backend services and public APIs used across Chainguard products.
- Understand how different products and customer segments use shared platform capabilities.
- Own features from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
- Partner with Product Management and the Experience team to deliver features.
- Create technical design documents and drive design plans.
- Contribute to roadmap prioritization, tradeoffs, and iterative delivery.
