Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in Private Equity, FP&A, professional services, or other finance-related work.
- Be familiar with financial products including lending, finance, derivatives, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities.
- Have knowledge of commercial banking, investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, fund administration, and investment management.
- Bring a business-focused, technology-enabled mindset and a foundation in dimensional data modeling, including Kimball or Inmon.
- Analyze large datasets using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and visualization tools.
- Communicate insights and next steps using Power BI or Tableau, and document them in Confluence.
- Have knowledge of data systems such as Snowflake or Microsoft Azure and proficiency with SQL, Alteryx, or Power Automate / Query.
- Have proven requirements-gathering experience, working with stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements.
- Have experience developing algorithms using R and/or Python.
- Know project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Waterfall.
- Understand finance processes such as Lead to Cash / Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire.
- Hold a B.Com or B.Com (Honors) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Management Accounting.
- CA, CIMA, CFA, or MBA qualifications are preferred; Snowflake, Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau certifications are preferred.
- Experience supporting large enterprise organizations, private equity portfolio companies, or private equity sponsors is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead clients and teams in developing analytics strategies, roadmaps, and implementation initiatives.
- Assess banking and capital markets businesses and modernize their operating models, processes, and architecture.
- Analyze and interpret trends and patterns in substantial or intricate datasets.
- Recommend strategies for preparing and blending data for analytics.
- Assist in creating forecasting and predictive analytics models.
- Generate insights through visual analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
- Interview clients to conduct current-state and future-state gap analyses and identify root causes.
- Design process and data flows using standard flowcharting methodology.
