Requirements
- At least 2 years of sales or business development experience.
- Experience recruiting or selling to resellers or other channel partners.
- A record of hitting or exceeding targets.
- Comfort starting conversations with strangers and maintaining them.
- Clear communication in person and in demos, with solid negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Comfort using a CRM and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time, including some evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: experience in payments, fintech, or selling software to small businesses.
- Preferred: experience in or selling to trades, salons, or health care practices.
- Preferred: existing relationships with trade associations or resellers.
- Preferred: a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and guide prospective independent resellers through signing.
- Explain SwipeSimple's reseller model, run demos, and answer prospective resellers' questions.
- Follow up with leads, close suitable resellers, and hand other prospects to the inside sales team with clear notes.
- Build relationships with associations and industry figures trusted by resellers and merchants.
- Plan outreach and meetings with prospective resellers before attending selected trade shows and industry events.
- Record leads, conversations, and deals in the CRM, and report outreach-channel costs and results.
- Share feedback from resellers and merchants with marketing and product.
- Follow the payments industry and competitors to answer questions.
