Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of engineering management experience.
- Have experience managing and scaling multiple teams, including managing other managers.
- Have experience owning product or business outcomes and translating technical decisions into results.
- Bring strong backend architecture and design skills and the ability to assess trade-offs.
- Be able to remain hands-on with engineering work.
- Have proficiency with TypeScript or Python.
- Have experience with AWS and MongoDB.
- React familiarity is useful.
- Have experience in K-12 education technology or related learning and teaching fields.
- Have an interest in applying AI.
- Be comfortable prioritizing independently and aligning cross-functional partners in a fast-growing environment.
- Be able to travel for occasional company retreats and business trips.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple product squads and support engineers across scheduling, reporting, and elementary school experiences.
- Drive product engineering delivery across multiple squads.
- Contribute code, review work, and pair with engineers while balancing hands-on engineering with leadership.
- Make and guide architectural decisions for a robust, scalable platform.
- Partner with product and cross-functional teams to set squad goals and connect engineering priorities to business outcomes.
- Deliver high-value product capabilities, including AI-powered features.
