Requirements
- Have at least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Have experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Be proficient in Python or Kotlin.
- Be familiar with distributed systems building blocks and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Have experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Have experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin.
- Be able to translate a problem or business scenario into a solution involving multiple software components.
- Write clear, understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
- Be comfortable navigating a large codebase and debugging other engineers' code.
- Provide feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases with support from the team's tech lead and manager.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and technical decision-making.
- Articulate technical constraints and help assess risks and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor metrics for the team's systems.
- Escalate operational issues and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
- Participate in the interview process and other team growth and development activities.
