Bring senior-level software engineering experience, a strong product engineering background, and a track record delivering complex production systems.
Have experience owning major product features, technical initiatives, and architectural decisions in scalable software environments.
Demonstrate backend development, APIs, application architecture, distributed systems, and microservices experience.
Design systems with performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
Solve complex technical problems and evaluate architectural trade-offs against measurable customer and business outcomes.
Bring technical design, code review, and debugging capabilities, including the ability to assess implementation quality and identify risks.
Have hands-on experience using AI coding agents in everyday development, including defining specifications, directing implementation, and validating generated code.
Understand AI-assisted engineering practices and identify incorrect, incomplete, insecure, or poorly designed generated solutions.
Work closely with product teams to translate customer problems into technical solutions.
Have a track record of mentoring engineers, influencing technical direction, and establishing engineering best practices.
Communicate and collaborate effectively, and be comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed environment.

Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of major product features and complex engineering initiatives.
Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing features, translating business requirements and customer needs into technical solutions.
Design, build, and improve backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and application architectures.
Diagnose complex engineering challenges and improve system performance through monitoring, instrumentation, and data-driven investigation.
Use AI coding agents, define implementation specifications, and review generated code for correctness, security, and quality.
Establish engineering standards through code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and improvements to development workflows.
Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, and contribute to technical direction and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical priorities with customer outcomes and business objectives.
Own production systems and technical initiatives while balancing delivery speed with long-term platform health and operational excellence.
