Have 5+ years of professional Go experience and be able to explain production code line by line.
Have experience designing and running distributed systems and designing for failure.
Have 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containers.
Have a strong computer science foundation in concurrency, networking, and data consistency.
Use AI coding tools daily and verify their output before shipping.
Write clear English for GitHub issues, pull requests, and design documents.
Availability is required for the core US overlap window of 8:30 PM to 12:00 AM IST.
Open-source Go contributions, especially to CNCF projects, are a bonus.
Experience maintaining an open-source project is a bonus.
Experience with Dapr or workflow and durable execution engines is a bonus.
gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or another Dapr SDK language—Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, or Rust—is a bonus.

Design and build features in the Dapr runtime from proposal through release.
Review community and team pull requests, maintaining standards for correctness, tests, and API design.
Find and fix bugs involving race conditions, retries, partial failures, and state that must survive a crash.
Write public proposals and design documents and respond to review feedback.
Participate in Dapr releases, including release candidates, patch releases, and security fixes.
Help users and contributors on GitHub and Discord and mentor new contributors.
Help hire the India team by shaping the hiring process and interviewing candidates.
Onboard new engineers and help them become productive in Dapr, the codebase, and team practices.
Support India-based engineers, raise issues to their managers, and work with leadership on India-specific team topics.
