Responsibilities
- Coordinate the research of a small team of research scientists.
- Make high-stakes judgment calls about starting new research directions.
- Decide when to wind down existing research directions.
- Adjust the nature of research deliverables as needed.
- Balance strategic foresight and persistence with changing research priorities and external deadlines.
- Negotiate tradeoffs with stakeholders.
- Work closely with the VP of Engineering, VP of Research, and CEO.
