Requirements
- Demonstrated people-management and leadership experience, including motivating, holding accountable, and developing individuals.
- Experience leading operations at a technology company; marketplace experience is preferred.
- Use measurable goals and analyze data to make prioritization decisions.
- Take ownership of outcomes and hold the team accountable to the same standard.
- Ability to challenge and sharpen senior leaders' thinking.
- Hands-on execution using AI to increase productivity.
- Bonus: teaching, tutoring, or edtech experience.
- Bonus: experience scaling support or operations through automation and AI rather than headcount.
- Bonus: experience running operations for international or new-market expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Tutor Operations team across tutor supply acquisition and retention, session reliability and quality, customer support, tutor community, and manual operations.
- Set ambitious goals, coach team members, give direct feedback, and support their growth.
- Shape Tutor's growth strategy with Product and bring frontline observations into roadmap decisions.
- Staff product launches with the operational support they need.
- Guide the team in maintaining the right tutor mix across subjects, grades, time slots, languages, and locales.
- Improve tutor quality and session reliability.
- Help the team provide fast, accurate support for families and tutors while increasing automation and reducing cost per contact.
- Prioritize team work, protect capacity, and connect operational processes to business outcomes.
