Requirements

  • Bring 5+ years of hands-on UX and product design experience.
  • Provide a portfolio showing strategic thinking and the process behind the work, not only polished UI.
  • Demonstrate the ability to define problems and shape product direction by framing opportunities, mapping journeys, and making the case for what to build.
  • Plan and run research studies and translate findings into clear decisions.
  • Lead UX for features end to end, from concept to launch, in partnership with product managers and engineers.
  • Understand UX and UI best practices for mobile applications, including accessibility.
  • Turn concepts into functional prototypes for testing and alignment.
  • Use AI in the design process, including prototyping with code and generative tools, and demonstrate how it informed shipped work.
  • Communicate clearly through storytelling and thorough design documentation, and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Bring passion for human-centered product experiences and solving ambiguous problems.
  • Consumer-facing product, IoT product development, or adult-audience design experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of the adult device ecosystem, adult sleep science, and customers using research, feedback, and usage data.
  • Identify UX opportunities and gaps in the adult product experience and share a point of view with the team.
  • Lead UX for features from problem framing through launch in partnership with product managers and engineering.
  • Design and ship responsive sleep experiences using Hatch’s contactless sleep tracking technology.
  • Discover, define, and implement new customer journeys and experiences.
  • Plan and run research and prototype testing at varying levels of fidelity, then turn findings into clear decisions.
  • Take on larger, ambiguous feature work and use customer learning to shape future products.
  • Contribute design system work and help develop and launch new features and products.
  • Contribute creativity, play, and learning to the team culture.
