Requirements
- High school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Economics, Finance, IT, Management, or Technology.
- 5+ years of Public Safety, Project Management, or Program Management experience.
- Experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments for state and local public safety government agencies.
- Prior people management experience.
- Skill using Microsoft Project and similar applications for project schedule planning.
- Experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies.
- Willingness to travel 50-75%.
- Ability to work effectively toward objectives with general guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pass and maintain CJIS Security and Privacy: Privileged Role certification requirements.
- Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead large programs or portions of complex programs valued up to $10M.
- Direct and coordinate project team activities, including the work of other project managers or technical staff.
- Define program scope, objectives, detailed plans, budgets, and metrics.
- Manage projects from inception through completion or transition, tracking and evaluating performance.
- Maintain adherence to program plans, quality metrics, and project budgets.
- Identify and mitigate risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and recommend corrective actions.
- Procure and allocate internal and external resources with the competencies needed to meet project objectives.
- Communicate with customer stakeholders, internal teams, and relevant senior stakeholders.
- Conduct needs assessments, gather requirements, and support project strategy with sales.
- Manage project reviews, enhancements, process improvements, and lessons learned.
