Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud data environments using platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with data ingestion and integration, lakehouse and warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data architecture modernization.
- Experience building semantic layers with governed metrics, business definitions, and finance data models.
- Experience partnering with CFOs and CIOs on data foundations for finance analytics, AI solutions, and ERP and EPM integrations.
- Experience with AI-ready data models, metadata management, data catalogs and lineage, data quality and observability, unstructured data, vector search, and RAG pipelines.
- Experience with role-based security, access controls, governance, and monitoring for generative and agentic AI.
- Understanding of finance processes including Lead to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Waterfall.
- Private equity experience working with CFOs and CIOs at mid-market, PE-backed portfolio companies is required.
- Experience managing client or internal teams and developing client relationships.
- Experience identifying business growth opportunities and collaborating with sales leadership to generate new business.
- Bachelor's degree and willingness to travel up to 30%.
Responsibilities
- Advise CFOs and CIOs on AI-first data strategies and roadmaps, including cloud platforms, data management, quality, controls, and AI use cases.
- Serve as solution architect for enterprise data foundations, leading ingestion, storage, transformation, and semantic modeling.
- Design data architectures integrating ERP systems with EPM platforms to support financial close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Architect data foundations for AI platforms and agentic solutions, and lead finance and operations AI use cases.
- Assess data maturity at mid-market, private equity-backed portfolio companies and build scalable data foundations for growth, acquisitions, and exit readiness.
- Define governance, security, and compliance standards; optimize data pipelines and ETL; and design forecasting and predictive analytics models.
- Interview clients, document business requirements, conduct current-state and future-state gap analyses, and present recommendations to executives.
- Oversee client engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fees, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
- Lead business development, develop service offerings and delivery methodologies, and contribute to go-to-market strategy.
- Manage, mentor, and coach teams, including tracking performance and providing feedback and reviews.
