Requirements
- Hold an active Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license.
- Have 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- CPhT certification is preferred.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Have strong verbal communication and phone skills.
- Demonstrate organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Be able to learn and implement new processes quickly.
- Have prior customer service or outbound call experience.
- Work an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to eligible patients and enroll them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.
- Educate patients about services offered through the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
- Review patient chart notes in the EMR before making outbound calls.
- Identify medications requiring special storage or handling, including hazardous or refrigerated medications.
- Identify supplies needed for select medications, such as sharps containers, needles, syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.
- Keep patient information confidential.
