Requirements
- Have 6–8+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems.
- Bring strong backend engineering fundamentals, including APIs, data modeling, databases, and distributed systems.
- Have experience with cloud platforms; AWS is preferred.
- Understand cloud-native service design and event-driven architectures, including queues, streams, and asynchronous processing.
- Demonstrate strong testing, debugging, and production-support practices.
- Have experience leading technical direction through activities such as design reviews, mentorship, or setting standards.
- Be able to make sound technical decisions and influence engineers without formal authority.
- Be comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with guiding others in a fast-moving, evolving 0-to-1 environment.
- Have a work-from-home setup with a 4th-generation-or-higher Intel i3 or equivalent processor, at least 4 GB RAM, Windows 10 or later or Mac OS X, and dual monitors.
- Have a stable wired DSL, cable, or fiber internet connection with a 10 Mbps plan or higher, a PC headset, and an HD webcam with at least 720p resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical foundation of a multi-tenant 3PL platform for external merchants and brands.
- Build systems for client onboarding, catalogs, inventory, fulfillment rules, and billing.
- Develop reliable systems for inventory management, order routing, and warehouse operations across client accounts.
- Create configurable, reusable platform components to support client onboarding.
- Provide accurate, real-time inventory and order visibility for internal operations teams and external clients.
- Build observable, self-healing fulfillment pipelines with clear service-level agreements.
- Reduce manual exception handling for mis-ships, short-ships, returns, and billing disputes through AI-driven automation.
- Set architectural direction as the platform scales from its first clients.
