Requirements
- Have 1+ years of professional software engineering experience or an equivalent track record of shipping real products.
- Have strong backend fundamentals.
- Have built APIs, databases, and services that run in production.
- Be familiar with Python, Postgres, OpenSearch, gRPC, and AWS.
- Understand how AI agents work under the hood, including tool calls, MCP servers, hooks, and context.
- Be comfortable working with ambiguity and changing direction based on customer input.
- Take ownership in a high-intensity product environment.
- Nice to have: experience with endpoint or client software, such as MDM or software that runs on laptops.
- Nice to have: a security or identity background.
Responsibilities
- Ship backend features end to end, from customer requests through production.
- Deliver customer value rather than only implementing a specification.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Build testing systems and harnesses that let agents ship changes safely.
- Work directly with customers when issues arise.
- Use agents in day-to-day work while understanding and explaining the system architecture.
