Requirements
- Have 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing software engineers.

- Have led a platform or infrastructure team whose customers are other engineering teams, driving adoption and cross-organizational migrations through influence and tooling.
- Have experience leading distributed global teams and creating clarity across time zones.
- Have built scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS, including experience with EKS, SQS, DocumentDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, or Lambdas.
- Have experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform and Helm, and progressive delivery such as Argo Rollouts or similar.
- Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including hosting independently deployed applications in a shared cluster.
- Be familiar with OpenAPI-driven contracts, API gateways, authentication, RBAC, rate limiting, versioning, and deprecation.
- Have decomposed a monolith into independently deployable services without stalling product delivery.
- Be able to engage deeply in architecture and incidents, review code, and guide through feedback.
- Nice to have experience with TypeScript/Node monorepos, CI/CD at scale, internal developer platforms, React, or ClickHouse.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, recruit, and develop the platform team, set expectations, provide feedback, and manage performance.
- Own outcomes across API gateways and standards, shared platform services, deployment and infrastructure patterns, CI and testing, developer experience, disaster recovery, and observability.
- Measure platform success through integrating teams’ delivery velocity and platform adoption.
- Guide architecture and help senior engineers make technical tradeoffs.
- Lead cross-team migrations, deprecations, and contract changes while supporting product delivery.
- Contribute to designs and code for gateway routing, authentication and RBAC, spec-driven code generation, event delivery, idempotency, and multi-region rollout safety.
- Own SLOs, reliability, on-call quality, and cost efficiency for Kubernetes-hosted, multi-tenant services.
- Systematize support and build self-service and auto-healing capabilities, templates, generators, and documentation.
- Shape the platform vision and roadmap, sequence work for business impact, and write RFCs to build cross-organizational consensus.
