Requirements
- Experience successfully building and leading lean teams.
- Ability to foster safe, collaborative, and inclusive environments for engineers.
- Ability to shape and drive complex, user-focused roadmaps in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and represent team work to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the technology industry to inform tooling and framework decisions.
- Ability to set context, facilitate collaboration, and build buy-in with product, design, engineering, and leadership partners.
- Prior experience working as an engineer.
- Familiarity with tooling across a technology stack.
- Preferred hands-on experience building highly available and distributed systems, especially with container orchestration systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of senior engineers.
- Own a transversal Core Engineering domain and drive its tactical and strategic vision and operational excellence.
- Review code and architecture and provide technical and design feedback.
- Participate in recruiting to help grow the engineering team.
- Provide performance feedback, hold one-on-ones, and support direct reports’ career development.
- Work with Technical and Product counterparts to set a team vision aligned with organizational and business goals.
- Select technology vendors and make build-or-buy decisions with the team.
- Communicate technical and product decisions, resolve blockers, and collaborate with leaders across the organization.
