Requirements
- Have managed 5 to 10 analysts or associates at a VC or growth fund.
- Be able to show who you have developed or grown on a team.
- Demonstrate trusted deal judgment, including assessing whether a company is venture-backable and identifying suitable investors.
- Maintain a network across funds and family offices built through sourcing, co-investing, and syndicating.
- Have run pipeline meetings and hired junior investors.
- Have experience addressing performance issues with junior team members.
- Write concise investor pitches that hold an investor’s attention.
- Handle financials, cap tables, terms, and names confidentially.
- Be comfortable using AI tooling for trackers, briefs, and follow-ups.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, coach, and manage a team of five associates through weekly 1:1s and performance oversight.
- Run the weekly pipeline review, covering deals in motion, investor passes and their reasons, and next steps.
- Set and maintain standards for matching companies to investors based on investor criteria.
- Ensure pitches are written as concise, two-line deal memos.
- Report weekly team metrics to the co-founders, including mandate calls, activations, pitches, founder calls, and referrals.
- Lead senior investor conversations with funds and family offices when needed.
