Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Have strong frontend experience building modern web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Have backend experience building GraphQL or REST APIs.
- Own work from start to finish, including shipping, launching, monitoring the rollout, and analyzing results.
- Bring a point of view on consumer products and a desire to shape what gets built.
- Have a proven track record of leading technical projects with cross-team impact and cross-functional collaboration.
- Nice to have: experience with native frontend development for iOS or Android.
- Next.js experience is a plus; Kotlin or Java experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team’s web work, from guest-facing features to restaurant tools.
- Build cross-platform experiences alongside iOS, Android, and backend engineers.
- Work across the stack, from React and Next.js on the front end to the services behind it.
- Experiment directly with guests and restaurants to test new dining experiences.
- Ship code that drives the growth and strategy of Toast’s consumer business.
