Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in software and/or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Have 5+ years of experience in Cloud/DevOps or platform-focused engineering.
- Demonstrate expertise in Azure or AWS.
- Provide technical direction to engineers and lead delivery across teams under ambiguity.
- Have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting/automation.
- Have expertise with secure CI/CD platforms and delivery tooling.
- Have experience leading high availability/disaster recovery designs, hybrid networking, and secure cloud baselines across teams.
- Have experience with Agile practices and version control systems.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced AWS or Azure certifications and/or multi-cloud expertise.
- Preferred: Leadership in platform standardization and org-wide observability.
- Provide on-call support outside regular business hours and travel as needed, not to exceed 10%.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery of platform solutions across teams and systems, aligning technical direction with business goals and customer impact.
- Standardize cloud platform patterns and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including reviews, reusable modules, and testing.
- Lead CI/CD implementations and integrations across multiple teams.
- Design scalable, multi-region architectures and resilient global networking patterns.
- Embed security and compliance in infrastructure and delivery tooling through secure baselines, hardening, and risk-based controls.
- Drive telemetry and observability strategy, including SLOs and actionable alerts.
- Guide cost planning and guardrails through tagging, monitoring, and automation.
- Coach and mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
- Communicate with engineering teams and stakeholders to influence decisions and resolve cross-team conflicts.
