Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or a related financial role.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of fund accounting processes, including reconciliations, expense accruals, investor allocations, NAV reporting, capital calls, distributions, and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Practical experience working with cryptocurrency assets and a working understanding of digital asset markets.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize competing deadlines, maintain accurate records, and deliver high-quality work efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to identify and communicate accounting discrepancies or operational risks.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials are highly desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and reconcile accounting records for approximately 10–20 client engagements.
- Reconcile portfolio activity and cash movements against source documentation, and record fund expenses.
- Calculate and review investor allocations, management fees, and fund-related expenses.
- Prepare quarterly net asset value (NAV) reports and submit complete client deliverables by deadlines.
- Prepare capital call and distribution calculations for private equity and venture capital funds.
- Draft annual financial statements and coordinate year-end audit activities with clients and independent auditors.
- Collaborate with the treasury team to initiate client wire transfers and process fund-related payments.
- Respond to client inquiries and communicate financial information clearly.
