Requirements
- Have 3+ years of C or C++ development experience.
- Be comfortable discussing algorithm complexity, data structures, searching, and sorting algorithms.
- Have hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- RESTful APIs experience is an asset.
- Experience with JavaScript and a JavaScript library or framework, such as ReactJS or Sencha/EXTJS, is an asset.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Customer management experience is an asset.
- LIS experience is an asset.
- Be available for the night shift, 5:30 PM–2:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software in Labgen, the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Align software work with functional requirements, development guidelines, and scope.
- Contribute to team discussions about technology, development best practices, and process improvements.
- Prioritize software quality and continuous improvement of applications and processes.
- Manage projects and deliverables to clients.
- Engage directly with customers about product defects, product requirements, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with Product Management and the Development Manager to prioritize work.
- Share knowledge and experience with fellow engineers and help ensure high-quality work.
