Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2+ years of presales or equivalent client-facing experience.
- Have a total of 5+ years of industry experience.
- Be able to run technical evaluations such as proofs of concept, proofs of value, workshops, tenders, audits, or value stream assessments.
- Have working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps practices and continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.
- Have hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar DevSecOps or software delivery platforms.
- Communicate technical information to practitioners, technical stakeholders, and senior business stakeholders.
- Build credibility, listen carefully, develop technical champions, and represent customer needs to internal teams.
- Be interested in continuous learning and developing expertise in GitLab, AI, and related cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or self-managed environments, or transferable experience from related technical fields, is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Work with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape technical account strategies.
- Run technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and validation activities.
- Own technical evaluations, including proof of concept and proof of value activities, solution design, and workshops.
- Develop solution architectures aligned with customer environments, priorities, and operating models.
- Guide customers on modern software development practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud adoption.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders.
- Create reusable technical examples, best practices, and customer-facing collateral.
- Provide customer feedback, field insights, and market observations to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
