Requirements
- Have 7+ years of hands-on production AWS infrastructure experience.
- Have experience building AWS environments from scratch and maintaining existing setups.
- Know AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, NAT and Internet Gateways, routing, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Have experience with AWS security services, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Have experience provisioning and managing RDS, including MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Have experience with EC2, ALB, ACM, Route 53, and AWS WAF.
- Have Windows Server administration skills, including AD, IIS configuration, licensing, PowerShell scripting, and basic OS hardening.
- Be comfortable installing and configuring third-party Windows-based software and troubleshooting service and connectivity issues.
- Have production experience with CI/CD and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Be proficient in Python or Go for scripting and automation.
- Have experience with Datadog, Grafana, or Akamai CDN.
- Be able to document work and lead knowledge-transfer sessions; work in an Agile, iterative delivery model.
- Be available for a 3–6 month contract and +2 hours of US overlap.
Responsibilities
- Shape DevOps practices across multiple portfolio companies.
- Design and execute infrastructure strategy and cloud architecture.
- Build AWS environments from scratch and maintain existing setups.
- Provision and manage AWS resources, including RDS, EC2, ALB, ACM, Route 53, and AWS WAF.
- Configure monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch or similar tools.
- Install and configure third-party Windows-based software and troubleshoot service and connectivity issues.
- Use CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices, including Terraform.
- Document systems and conduct clear knowledge-transfer and handoff sessions.
