Requirements

  • Have proven experience owning production data pipelines or an ingestion platform where correctness is critical, such as revenue, billing, or payments.
  • Have experience leading a migration from a legacy system to a new platform while both remain in production.
  • Bring strong SQL and Python skills and working knowledge of Snowflake and AWS.
  • Have familiarity with workflow orchestration such as Airflow or Step Functions, relational databases such as Postgres, and pipelines that are idempotent, observable, and safe to rerun.
  • Have working knowledge of data-quality practices, including reconciliation, anomaly review, and investigating discrepancies against source data.
  • Have experience partnering with Finance, Business Development, or other non-engineering stakeholders on data used for financial decisions.
  • Be able to coach engineers at different levels, including senior and staff engineers, with clear, actionable feedback.
  • Have experience balancing delivery dates with technical quality on systems where data cannot be silently dropped or double-counted.
  • Have a track record of using automation, including AI-assisted development, to increase team throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue accuracy across partner files, pricing rules, and warehouse figures used by Finance.
  • Migrate verticals and partners from legacy ingestion to the modern platform, build new connectors to partner API portals, and retire the old path once the new one is proven.
  • Partner with Business Development, Finance, Product, and vertical engineering leaders to sequence work and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage sprint planning, project timelines, and delivery commitments.
  • Adopt AI-assisted development where it improves migration and operations, with human review for changes affecting revenue.
  • Guide pipeline design, data modeling, and pricing logic as partner contracts change.
  • Maintain code review, testing, documentation, and operability for daily-running jobs.
  • Identify and escalate delivery risks before they cause revenue misses.
  • Keep ingestion reliable through freshness, completeness, and clear ownership when figures look wrong.
