Requirements
- Bring 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or advancement services.
- Have experience managing and mentoring technical, analytics, or data science teams.
- Have advanced hands-on experience with SQL.
- Have advanced hands-on experience with SSRS, Tableau, or comparable data visualization platforms.
- Have significant experience working with donor or CRM systems, such as Salesforce, Affinaquest, or Raiser’s Edge.
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit fundraising environments is preferred.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and non-technical audiences.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and influence without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Align applied donor data strategy with fundraising priorities.
- Engage stakeholders to translate fundraising and operational challenges into data, analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions.
- Oversee predictive models and advanced analytics for prospect identification, constituent engagement, fundraising performance, and resource allocation.
- Establish standards for reporting logic, SQL development, documentation, version control, testing, and deployment.
- Lead the development and delivery of standardized reporting, dashboards, and analytics products.
- Design scalable reporting solutions that reduce reliance on ad hoc and inconsistent analyses.
- Partner with senior leadership to inform decision-making and prioritization through analytics.
- Build, lead, and develop the Data Solutions & Insights team.
- Champion organization-wide use of the CRM and associated platforms as the system of record.
- Promote consistent enterprise data definitions, business rules, data standards, and governance practices.
