Have two or more years operating at a senior or staff level.
Demonstrate hands-on programming skills in Go, Python, or JavaScript.
Have practical experience building test automation frameworks and developer tooling.
Have experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for complex software applications.
Understand CI/CD systems and have hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into pipelines.
Have experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
Regularly use AI tools for code review, test planning, and test automation, and independently verify their outputs.
Have working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems, or the ability and motivation to develop expertise quickly.
Demonstrate analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, particularly for backend and infrastructure issues.
Communicate quality risks clearly and influence engineering and product stakeholders.
Adapt to ambiguity, manage shifting priorities, and work effectively in a fast-moving startup environment.
Preferred: Experience testing tenant clusters or tenant-isolation environments.
Preferred: Experience leading quality assurance initiatives at a startup during rapid product growth.

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks for backend services and user interfaces.
Define test strategies across services and features, aligning coverage with product objectives and reliability requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams early in development to improve testability and establish quality standards.
Participate in architectural and design discussions, identify reliability risks, and recommend improvements.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, regressions, and defects not detected by automated tests.
Use AI-assisted tools to review pull requests and design documents, develop test plans, and automate test cases; validate generated outputs independently.
Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining testing standards.
Investigate backend and infrastructure issues through debugging, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams.
Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle and promote continuous improvement.
