Requirements
- Have 7+ years of experience in QA or software testing, including 2+ years operating at a senior or staff level.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on skills in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript for automation and tooling.
- Use AI tools daily for reviewing pull requests and design documents, writing test plans, and automating test cases; verify AI output with sound judgment.
- Have hands-on experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Bring a deep understanding of CI/CD systems.
- Have working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems, or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn quickly.
- Demonstrate analytical and debugging ability, particularly for backend and infrastructure-related issues.
- Manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and advocate for quality across engineering and product.
- Experience testing in tenant cluster or Tenant Isolation environments is a bonus.
- Prior experience owning QA at a startup through rapid product growth is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services and UI.
- Own and drive test strategy across services and features, aligning coverage with product goals.
- Work with engineering and product to shape features early and advocate for testability.
- Contribute a testability and reliability perspective to architecture and design discussions.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, and regressions.
- Work across multiple projects as priorities shift.
