Requirements
- Have 3+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate ideas with technical and non-technical partners.
- Bring strong analytical and quantitative skills and use data and metrics to support assumptions and recommendations.
- Have experience in Agile development and product ownership.
- Have experience using JIRA or an equivalent system for backlog management, project status, and work tracking.
- Turn complex ideas into understandable requirements, updates, and decisions.
- Preferred: hold a CSPO or equivalent product management qualification.
- Preferred: have experience with Micro Frontend and Shared Services deliverables.
- Preferred: have experience with low-fidelity prototyping for early stakeholder brainstorming.
- Preferred: have led complex digital products involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Preferred: have managed a product roadmap with cross-team dependencies.
- Preferred: understand the educational technology landscape or have experience with LMS systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Desire to Learn, Moodle, or Schoology.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and key stakeholders to define and maintain product requirements and lead implementation and rollout.
- Provide engineering with clear, detailed requirements for product features and enhancements.
- Articulate options, implications, and outcomes to remove roadblocks and support strategic decisions amid change or uncertainty.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, data privacy regulations, and interoperability requirements.
- Facilitate team planning, refinement, and retrospective sessions.
- Support the team in resolving implementation- and adoption-related blockers.
- Create alignment across work tracks through a shared product vision and roadmap.
- Consider cross-team dependencies, interoperability, performance, and business cost or impact when scoping features, capabilities, and services.
